Here are some aviation events scheduled for June, Wingman will update this page as more information becomes available.

Saturday, June 6, Placerville Airport (PVF) Placerville Airport is hosting a Beechcraft Bonanza fly-in meet up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hamburgers and hot dogs are on the menu, and Airport Manager Dale Lusby is offering historical display day credit. 

Saturday, June 6, Sutter County Airport (O52) The monthly display day and cheesesteak fly-in is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. Meals will be served in the planespotters picnic area and are $20. Proceeds benefit EAA Chapter 1593, according to an event announcement. Young Eagles flights are also scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., according to an announcement from Chapter 1593.

Wednesday, June 10 , Sutter County Airport (O52) EAA chapter 1593 will have a drone presentation by Jeff Patsy from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. A complete drone kit will be given away as a door prize, according to the chapter. Chapter recognitions are also scheduled during the meeting.

Wednesday, June 10, Cameron Park Airport (O61) The inaugural gathering of EAA Chapter 1726 is planned to start at 7 p.m. at the Starfall Hangar, 3204 Western Drive, Cameron Park. The event will also be broadcast on Zoom, according to an event announcement. Attendees are being asked to bring their own chairs as seating is limited.

Wednesday, June 10, Mather Airport (MHR) The 2026 California Capital Airshow Volunteer Rally is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Hangar 6, 10420 Truemper Wy.

CANCELLED: Saturday, June 13, Lincoln Airport (LHM) This event is canceled due to high temperature forecast, according to Social Flight. A spot landing contest is scheduled at Lincoln Airport from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is organized by EAA Chapter 1541 and registration opens at 4:30 p.m., according to an announcement posted to social media. The pilot who lands closest to the green dot will receive special recognition and bragging rights, the announcement said.There is also a burger burn and beers social scheduled at hangar 1541. 

Saturday, June 13, Aerospace Museum of California at McClellan (MCC) EAA Chapter 1714 will hold their monthly meeting at the museum from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. featuring Coffee with a Controller. The Q&A sesson is designed to give attendees an opportunity to meet and talk with air traffic controllers. The event will also have tabletop scenarios that highlight communication and decision making. The meeting will be on the second floor conference room of the museum.

  1. Mark your calendar for June’s chapter gathering, which will be next Wednesday the 10th from 6:00-7:00 in the O52 conference room. Arrive early for food! We’ll present the remaining 2025 Chapter Recognitions, and hear a talk on drones by Jeff Patsy. Jeff is a Part 107 certificated commercial drone pilot and local teacher who will speak about unmanned aerial systems and becoming a drone pilot. Our door prize will be a complete drone kit!
