The month of Dads and Grads is soon approaching, and here is a rundown of aviation related events scheduled for June.

Sunday, June 1, Columbia Airport (O22)
The Bay Area Fly-In Brunch is scheduled at Mandy’s Breakfast House from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The restaurant is a short walk from the airport, according to an announcement. The event will have a t-shirt and hoodie giveaway and flight bags.

Saturday June 7 and Sunday, June 8, Beale AFB
Beale Air Force Base will host the 2025 Beale Air and Space Expo. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are slated to be the feature act for the two-day event, according to the expo’s website. General admission is free and attendees can obtain a free parking pass from the event’s website. General admission parking is limited and passes will not be available the day of the event, according to the site. Parking opens at 8 a.m. and gates open at 9 a.m. Gates will close to incoming traffic at 1:30 p.m. during the event and a complimentary shuttle service will be available to take attendees from the parking areas to the air show gates, according to the expo. 

Premium parking is also available with the purchase of various Elevated Experience tickets, according to the site. Red Skyline Lot parking is $15 per vehicle, and Ground Level Access is $35 per vehicle. The Flight Deck package is available for $50 per person. This package is sold out for Saturday, June 7, as of publication time. Flight Deck Packages are still available for Sunday, June 8.

The Recce Town Experience tickets start at $100 per person for children ages five to 12, or $195 for anyone aged 13 and over, the website says. Tables of 8 are available for $2,500.

Saturday, June 7, Sutter County Airport (O52)
The Sutter County Airport and Experimental Aircraft Association chapter 1593 is hosting their monthly display day and cheesesteak lunch. The event is scheduled to run from 10:30 a.m. to 12”30 p.m. Proceeds from the lunch will go toward funding EAA 1593 scholarships for local students, according to an event announcement.

The chapter will also be offering Young Eagles flights at the AeroSTEM Academy from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Organizers are asking volunteers to arrive by 6:30 a.m., according to an email from the organization. Registration is available here.

There will be a chapter meeting from 11:30 to 12:30 following the morning’s events, the announcement said. Topics will be updates on scholarship student progress and planning efforts for future Young Eagles flights, Airventure Oshkosh, and a fall leadership academy.

Sunday, June 15, Benton Field Airport (O85)
The Benton Airpark in Redding will have a pancake breakfast with eggs and sausage from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free, and tickets for the pancake breakfast are $10 for adults and $5 for children five to 12. Children under five are free. The event advertises modern and vintage aircraft, experimentals, warbirds, and CHP aircraft. Helicopter flights are scheduled to be available from Air Shasta and EAA Chapter 157 will have a flight simulator available. The event is organized by the Mt. Shasta 99s and EAA 157, according to an announcement.

Sunday, June 15, Gnoss Field (KDVO)
The Gnoss Field Wings and Wheels is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and feature car and aircraft on display. There is a 35 cent discount on avgas and a pancake breakfast listed on the announcement. The event is sponsored by Skyshare, Scanlon Aviation, CSRG Group, EAA Chapter 1232, and the Nintey-Nines.
